Arsenal Prepare Offer For PSG Winger Barcola As Liverpool Competition Looms

Arsenal are targeting PSG winger Bradley Barcola in the summer transfer window, with the club preparing a formal offer for the 23-year-old French international.

According to a report from The Independent, the Gunners are ready to submit a bid for Barcola once the World Cup concludes, as the player is currently away on international duty with France.

Barcola scored a notable goal for France against Senegal during the tournament, further strengthening his reputation as one of Europe’s most exciting attacking talents.

Despite not holding down a regular starting position at PSG last season, the winger still managed to register 20 goal contributions, a figure that has attracted serious attention from top clubs.

Mikel Arteta is known to be determined to strengthen his attacking unit this summer, with Arsenal exploring a number of options across the forward line ahead of next season.

Barcola is not the only attacking player on Arsenal’s radar, with Julian Alvarez and Morgan Rogers also among the names the club have been linked with in recent months.

However, Arsenal will not have a free run at the French winger, as Liverpool are also reportedly interested in signing him ahead of the new campaign.

Liverpool’s need for wide attacking reinforcements has grown significantly following the departure of Mohamed Salah, leaving a considerable void on the right flank that the club are eager to fill.

Cody Gakpo has also been linked with an exit from Anfield, which could further intensify the need for Liverpool to bring in quality wide options before the season begins.

Barcola has the pace, flair, and goal threat to thrive in the Premier League, and a move to England would offer him the regular first-team football he was unable to secure at PSG.

At just 23 years old, there is significant belief that he has not yet reached his peak, and consistent minutes at a club of Arsenal or Liverpool’s stature could help him develop further.

The key question now is whether PSG will sanction his departure, given that the French champions may be reluctant to lose a player with considerable long-term potential.
