Liverpool Refuse To Give Up On Yan Diomande Despite €100 Million Rejection From RB Leipzig

Liverpool’s pursuit of RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande is intensifying, with the Reds determined to secure one of Europe’s most exciting young talents this summer.

The Merseyside club saw an initial offer of €100 million knocked back by the German outfit, who remain firmly opposed to selling the 19-year-old during the current transfer window.

RB Leipzig are instead hoping to tie Diomande down to a new long-term contract, believed to include a release clause, as they look to protect their prized asset.

The German club’s preference is to keep the player until at least the summer of 2027, when they would be more open to sanctioning a departure under the right circumstances.

Despite that firm stance from Leipzig, Liverpool have identified Diomande as a “top target” and are fully prepared to push hard to make the deal happen before the window closes.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the young winger himself is “really tempted” by the prospect of making the high-profile switch to Anfield this summer.

Liverpool are expected to return with an improved offer, with the club clearly unwilling to walk away from a player they view as transformational for their squad.

The €100 million price tag is a significant sum for a player who is yet to reach his peak years, but the inflated market for promising young talent makes such figures increasingly standard.

Diomande registered 23 goal contributions for Leipzig during the past season, underlining why he has attracted such serious attention from one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

His ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations and his combination of pace, flair, and technical quality in wide areas make him a hugely attractive proposition for Liverpool’s attack.

The departure of Mohamed Salah has left a significant void on Liverpool’s right flank, and the Ivory Coast international is viewed as a potential long-term successor to the club legend.

Liverpool’s recruitment team will be working hard behind the scenes to structure an offer that convinces Leipzig to change their position before the transfer window shuts.
