Arsenal are lining up a formal approach to Aston Villa over the potential transfer of England attacker Morgan Rogers this summer.
Reports from the Evening Standard indicate the north London club view Rogers as one of their top priorities heading into the transfer window.
Rogers finished the 2025/26 season in strong form, contributing 14 goals and eight assists across all competitions for Aston Villa.
The versatile attacker is capable of playing wide on the left or in a number ten role, both positions Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen.
Arsenal’s pursuit of Rogers is not the only significant transfer development emerging from the club this week, with two other names also attracting attention.
The Evening Standard also reports that Arsenal are closing in on a £10m deal for Leicester City youngster Jeremy Monga, described as a wonderkid at his current club.
Talks have additionally taken place over a move for Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, another highly-rated young talent being tracked by the Gunners.
Of the three names linked, Rogers and Bouaddi appear most likely to feature in Arsenal’s first-team plans if deals are completed this summer.
Rogers could provide genuine competition and an upgrade on Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard on the left side of attack, giving Arteta more options going forward.
Martin Odegaard’s fitness and form has also been flagged as a concern, adding further urgency to Arsenal’s desire to bring in creative reinforcements this window.
Bouaddi is unlikely to command a regular starting berth immediately but has shown considerable potential and could develop into a midfield partner for Declan Rice.
