Arsenal Tipped To Sign New Striker And Left Winger After Premier League Title Win

Clinton Morrison believes Arsenal must continue strengthening their squad this summer following their Premier League title triumph in the 2025/26 season.

The former player and pundit has advised the Gunners to make two key additions in attack to ensure they remain a dominant force in English football.

Morrison told TEAMtalk that Arsenal should target a new striker capable of competing with Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz in the forward line.

He also stressed the need for a quality left winger, with the futures of several current attacking players far from certain heading into the transfer window.

“They do need another striker to put pressure on Gyokeres and contend with Havertz,” Morrison said, outlining exactly where he sees the squad needing reinforcement.

“They need an out-and-out quality striker. And they do need another left winger because they might lose a few players like Gabriel Jesus, who wants to go and play regular football.”

Doubts surrounding Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard have added urgency to the club’s summer planning in the attacking third.

Morrison was clear that standing still is not an option for Mikel Arteta’s side, regardless of what they have already achieved this season.

“They need to keep evolving and improving. I think Arsenal will strengthen again in the summer. I think they’ll be the team that everyone’s looking at as capable of dominating for a few years now,” Morrison added.

He continued by placing responsibility on Arsenal’s rivals, saying: “It’s down to the other teams to put pressure on Arsenal.”

Morrison did acknowledge that further evolution might require Arteta to adapt his preferred tactical approach to reach the next level of performance.

“I know that’s not maybe how Arteta always wants to set his teams up, but I feel like they have to go to that next level and continue to evolve and progress,” he said.

On the transfer front, Julian Alvarez and Eli Junior Kroupi have been identified as striker targets who feature high on Arsenal’s list of priorities this summer.

Out wide, Bradley Barcola has emerged as a potential option, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reporting that Arsenal are among the clubs keen on the PSG winger.

Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers has also been listed as one of Arsenal’s attacking targets, according to BBC Sport, giving the club multiple options to consider.

Arsenal supporters will be watching closely to see whether a combination of these names arrives at the Emirates Stadium before the new season gets underway.
