Barcelona Prepare Insulting £13 Million Bid For Rashford As INEOS Ready To Reject Offer

Barcelona are reportedly preparing a bid of just £13 million for Marcus Rashford, according to MailSport, well below Manchester United’s asking price.

The Spanish club had set a £26 million buy option as part of Rashford’s loan arrangement, but Barcelona appear unwilling to meet that figure.

Their reluctance to commit full funds to Rashford becomes clearer following their decision to spend £70 million on Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.

Gordon is three years younger than Rashford and can play across the same positions, either on the left flank or through the centre.

The fact that Barcelona met Newcastle’s financial demands while stalling over Rashford’s fee indicates how the club views each player’s role under Hansi Flick.

Barcelona appear to see Rashford as a rotational option for the 2026/2027 campaign rather than a first-choice starter, hence the heavily discounted proposal.

Rashford is valued at £35 million by Transfermarkt, making the reported £13 million offer one that INEOS will almost certainly dismiss without serious consideration.

The forward delivered 14 goals and 14 assists across 49 appearances this season, a return that should attract significant interest from clubs across Europe.

Bayern Munich have also been linked with a move for Rashford after reportedly missing out on their pursuit of Anthony Gordon.

Regardless of Barcelona’s next steps, Rashford’s future at Old Trafford appears to be over despite his contract running until 2028.

His overall United record stands at 138 goals and 79 assists across 426 appearances, a legacy that underlines his value on the open market.

INEOS will now look to find a buyer willing to meet their valuation rather than accept a heavily reduced fee for one of their key assets.
