Kilmarnock Manager Responds to Curtis Transfer Speculation Ahead of Scottish Cup Clash

Kilmarnock manager Neil McCann addressed speculation linking Rangers’ winger Findlay Curtis with a move to Rugby Park.

McCann called it “disrespectful” to discuss another team’s player, emphasizing Kilmarnock’s focus on strengthening their own squad.

The winger, who has seen reduced first-team opportunities under Danny Rohl at Rangers, has made 17 appearances this season and scored three goals.

Kilmarnock Transfer Plans

Ahead of Kilmarnock’s Scottish Cup fourth-round match against Dundee, McCann confirmed the club is looking to make a few signings before the weekend fixture.

He stated, “There were no guarantees from the board that I would be able to do that, but they gave me assurances they would try.”

McCann indicated that the squad could benefit from reinforcements, but Curtis is not among the targets.

He added, “No, that (Findlay Curtis) is not one that I see happening right now. We’ve got targets. You’ll get the same answer from me that you’ll get from every other manager.”

McCann also acknowledged the influence of social media on transfer rumors, noting, “There’s always going to be rumours, I can’t stop that, particularly with social media these days.”

The manager reiterated that Kilmarnock is pursuing specific types of players and will work hard to bring them in to support the team’s immediate needs.
