Liverpool Target PSG Star Bradley Barcola After Missing Out On Yan Diomande

Liverpool have shifted their transfer focus towards Paris Saint-Germain attacker Bradley Barcola following confirmation that Yan Diomande will not be joining the club.

Reports revealed that Ivory Coast international Diomande has chosen to join PSG instead of Liverpool, leaving the Reds needing to identify viable alternatives on the wing.

Transfer insider Ben Jacobs has revealed that Barcola is high on Liverpool’s wishlist as they look to add more cutting-edge quality in the final third this summer.

PSG manager Luis Enrique has previously described Barcola as “superb,” highlighting the level of regard the young Frenchman commands at the highest level of the game.

Despite that praise, Barcola has not been a regular starter at PSG, and the arrival of Diomande is likely to push him even further down the pecking order at the Parc des Princes.

The 23-year-old attacker recorded 20 goal contributions across all competitions last season, demonstrating his ability to influence games when given the opportunity to play consistently.

Liverpool believe that regular Premier League football could unlock the best version of Barcola and help him fulfil the considerable potential he has shown throughout his career.

The Reds finished fifth in the Premier League last season, which fell well short of the standards the club expects, making summer recruitment a priority heading into the new campaign.

Liverpool have already strengthened their squad with the signing of Victor Munoz, but adding a quality wide player remains firmly on the agenda for the transfer window.

A move for Barcola would benefit both parties, giving Liverpool the attacking spark they need while offering the French international a platform to establish himself as a genuine top-level starter.

Whether Liverpool can get the deal across the line remains to be seen, but Barcola appears to be very much at the top of their shortlist as they push to return to title contention.
