Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have reached a basic financial agreement over the transfer of Brazilian winger Savinho to North London.
The two Premier League clubs are now in the final stages of negotiations, with only minor contractual details remaining before the deal is completed.
Prominent Spurs insider SzyExcl broke the news on X, confirming that the core financial package between the clubs has been settled.
“The fee for Savinho is basically agreed from what I’m told, it’s just sorting out add-ons,” the insider reported, suggesting the transfer is very close to being finalised.
Manchester City had been demanding a figure in the region of £50 million to £60 million for the 22-year-old winger throughout the negotiation process.
The willingness of Tottenham to meet that valuation signals a clear intent from the club to fully back manager Roberto De Zerbi during this summer window.
Savinho had reportedly been keen on a move to Spurs last summer, but Pep Guardiola elected to keep the winger at the Etihad Stadium at that stage.
After receiving limited consistent minutes under Guardiola last season, the Brazilian international is now eager to take on a leading role in the capital.
Savinho first caught the attention of European football during a sensational loan spell with Girona before completing his move to Manchester City.
Should the remaining add-on structures be settled, the Brazilian will officially become the marquee signing of De Zerbi’s extensive summer rebuild at Spurs.
The Italian manager has been determined to add explosive flair and direct dribbling to his attacking options, a profile Savinho fits precisely.
His arrival would represent a major statement of intent from a club desperate to distance itself from last season’s painful relegation battle.
Tottenham narrowly preserved their Premier League status on the final day of last season, and the hierarchy has since moved aggressively to back De Zerbi in the market.
The club has already confirmed the signing of veteran left-back Andy Robertson on a free transfer as part of their summer overhaul.
Marco Senesi is also expected to arrive on a free transfer, while Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke has agreed personal terms with the club despite two bids being rejected so far.
