Inter Miami have become a pipeline for young players to spend a couple of seasons in South Florida before they bounce off to a European club. Over the past few transfer windows, players like Diego Gómez and Federico Redondo have used this route to get to Europe.
Gómez made 40 total appearances for Inter Miami during his time in MLS. Once his time with the Herons ended, they sold him to Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, where he’s made 27 appearances while scoring six goals and recording one assist.
As for Redondo, he made 60 total appearances for the South Florida club. Once his tenure in MLS ended, the Argentine midfielder moved on to La Liga side Elche, where he’s made two appearances so far.

The next player that could be leaving Inter Miami is Ian Fray. TEAMtalk reported on Monday, citing sources, that David Beckham’s club are in danger of losing Ian Fray on a free transfer in a matter of months.
Fray, one of MLS’ most promising defenders, has just three months remaining on his Inter Miami contract, set to expire at the end of December.
Inter Miami is actively working on an extension, viewing him as a cornerstone of their long-term plans. Negotiations are ongoing, but several European clubs have already expressed serious interest.
Belgian side Gent, German club Fortuna Düsseldorf, and multiple English Championship teams are keeping a close eye on the 23-year-old, per the report. Fray’s physicality, composure on the ball, and tactical awareness make him an appealing prospect for clubs seeking young defensive talent.

At this point, Fray’s next step remains undecided. His choice will hinge not only on financial terms but also on which sporting project offers the best environment for his growth.
Fray’s strong performances have earned him his first-ever call-up to the Jamaica national team, a well-deserved recognition after months of consistent displays on the field.
