Romano Expects Summer Movements As Arsenal Target Champions League Winner Barcola

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that activity around Bradley Barcola is expected imminently, with Arsenal and Liverpool among the clubs monitoring the PSG winger.

Barcola has just won back-to-back Champions League titles with Paris Saint-Germain, who defeated Arsenal on penalties last week in Budapest to claim the trophy.

Romano took to X to clarify the situation around the 23-year-old, dismissing misleading reports circulating online about the player’s representation.

“Movements are expected around Bradley Barcola this summer as reported in May with Arsenal, Liverpool and one more club keen on PSG winger,” Romano said on X.

“Despite fake reports around, the agent of Barcola is Moussa Sissoko already since 2025,” the transfer expert added in the same post.

Arsenal are in the market for a wide player this summer as they look to add quality and competition to their attacking options heading into next season.

Gabriel Martinelli’s inconsistency and Leandro Trossard’s advancing years have prompted the Gunners to identify new left-sided options as a genuine priority this window.

Barcola is not always a guaranteed starter at PSG, which could make a move away attractive if he wishes to secure more regular first-team football.

The Frenchman contributed 13 goals and five assists across Ligue 1 and the Champions League during the 2025/26 season, numbers that would represent a meaningful upgrade on Arsenal’s current options.

PSG are unlikely to sanction departures for key starters like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia or Desire Doue, potentially making Barcola the more attainable target from the French champions.

Arsenal’s summer business is not expected to stop with Barcola, with several other attacking players already linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers has been mentioned as a target, with BBC Sport reporting the England international is open to joining Arsenal despite interest from Manchester United.

AC Milan’s Rafael Leao has also been offered to Arsenal, though it remains unclear whether the Portugal international will be considered a priority by the north London club.

With the transfer window firmly open, Arsenal are expected to be among the busiest clubs in the market as they look to close the gap at the top of European football.
