Inter Miami’s top 5 most expensive player sales of all time

Inter Miami aren’t afraid to spend big money, whether it comes to transfer fees or wages to lure the big names to South Florida.

Nonetheless, the MLS club can also be a selling club, especially if it’s a player looking to make the jump to one of Europe’s top leagues.

Let’s look at the top five record sales that Inter Miami have made throughout their short history.

Diego Gómez (€13M to Brighton)

Gómez arrived at Inter Miami from Paraguayan side Libertad in 2023 and was part of the squad that won Leagues Cup that same year. The midfielder would make 40 total appearances for the Herons, recording seven goals and seven assists. It’s this production and play during his time with Inter Miami that led to Gómez being the club’s record sale in 2025 when he moved to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Facundo Farías (€4.3M to Estudiantes LP)

Farías’ time with Inter Miami feels incomplete, considering he wasn’t on the field that much due to an injury. The Argentine arrived in 2023 to join the Herons from Colón and made 13 total appearances while scoring three goals and recording two assists. His tenure with the MLS side was derailed after he tore his anterior cruciate ligament during preseason training and was sidelined for the entire 2024 season. In 2025, Farías would return to Argentina to join Estudiantes LP.

Gregore (€2.5M to Botafogo)

Gregore joined Inter Miami from Brazilian club Bahia in February 2021 and quickly became a key player. By November, he was named the team’s most valuable player for the season after leading the MLS regular season with 55 tackles. Gregore would play four years with the Herons, but during his tenure, he suffered a Lisfranc injury in March 2023 and was ruled out for six months. In February 2024, the midfielder, who made 67 total appearances for the club while recording six assists, would return to Brazil to join Botafogo.

Leonardo Campana (€2.4M to New England Revolution)

Campana arrived at Inter Miami in 2022, initially joining the club on a loan deal from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Ecuadorian player would officially join the MLS club in 2023, and by the time he left, the striker would make 100 total appearances, scoring 32 goals and recording eight assists.

In December 2024, Inter Miami traded Campana to the New England Revolution in what was described as a record-breaking domestic deal. Miami received $2.5 million in general allocation money, with another $750,000 tied to performance incentives. The club also secured an extra international roster slot and a sell-on percentage as part of the agreement.

Nicolás Figal (€2.3M to Boca Juniors)

Figal joined Inter Miami and was part of the squad for three years, making 47 total appearances while scoring one goal and recording two assists. The defender would leave the South Florida club in 2022 to join Boca Juniors as he returned to Argentina, having played for CA Independiente, so he was back in a league in which he knew. Moreover, the center-back has remained with Boca Juniors since joining them three years ago from the Herons.
